KAIST Robust Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory (RIRO LAB) is established by Daehyung Park, an assistant professor of computer science at the KAIST School of Computing. The main research focuses at KAIST RIRO LAB are Robotics and Machine Learning. In particular, research projects in the RIRO LAB focus on introducing human-centered robotic manipulation that is to develop highly capable robots, particularly mobile manipulators, to autonomously interact with and assist humans during everyday tasks. The research interests of RIRO LAB include learning from demonstration including inverse reinforcement learning, semantic learning and reasoning, task-and-motion planning, and natural language understanding for producing ubiquitous and collaborative robot solutions. Toward the research direction, RIRO LAB is internationally collaborating with world-class research institutes/universities and also planning to expand the area of research to automation and field robotics.
