Heung-Kyu Lee has been a professor of the Department of Computer Science, KAIST, Korea (hklee@mmc.kaist.ac.kr) since 1986. His research team was selected as the Lab. Of Excellence(LOE), the National Research Lab(NRL), and the National Leading Research Lab(NLRL) by Korea Industry Technology Foundation in 2005 and National Research Foundation of Korea in 2007 and 2012, respectively. His major interests are digital watermarking and multimedia forensics. Prof. Lee is working with many government institutes and companies to develop the practical products in Korea. Since 2005, he received more than 20 major research grants totaling over 7 million US dollars for projects on digital watermarking, information hiding and multimedia forensics. He has authored/coauthored over 200 international papers.
