Professor
Sung-Eui Yoon is currently an associate professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science from Seoul National University in 1999 and 2001 respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005. He was a postdoctoral scholar at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His research interest is to design scalable techniques for rendering, motion planning, and image search, which use various types of proximity computing. He wrote two books on rendering and gave numerous tutorials on premier conferences including ACM SIGGRAPH and IEEE CVPR. Some of his work received a distinguished paper award, journal invitations, and national recognition. He is a senior member of IEEE and ACM.
