Sue B. Moon is a full professor of Computer Science at KAIST.

She received a PhD from UMass Amherst on Internet performance measurement and analysis. From 1999 to 2003 she was part of the IPMON group at Sprint Labs and reported on backbone performance, such as single-hop delay, multi-hop delay, routing loops, and scaling behavior, which gave new insight to QoS and control-plane management. Since 2003, she has been working on online social networks and media, focusing on novel aspects about online behaviors. Also her reccent research interest expands to networking platforms, and is building a framework for networking platforms based on high-performance, heterogeneous commodity hardware.

She won the best paper award at ACM SIGCOMM IMC 2007, Amore Pacific Award for Outstanding Women in the Sciences in 2009, the best poster award at ACM SIGCOMM 2010, the 16th Young Engineer's Award by National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK) in 2012, and the 4th Knowledge Creation Award by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology in 2012.
