2020-05-21

Naver and Naver Business Platform (NBP) announced that they have signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) to cultivate artificial intelligence (AI) experts and expand technology bases on May 15, 2020. Naver plans to provide shopping images and question-and-answer data to the KAIST computer science department for research and technology development. In addition, they will provide Naver's cloud machine learning development platform 'NSML' and NBP's cloud-based GPU (graphic processing unit), and Naver researchers will give technical lectures to KAIST's computer science students as well.

Seonghoon Kim, Naver Clover AI's lead manager, said, "We will continue to expand our support to further expand the domestic AI ecosystem through technological exchanges."

Myung-Ho Kim, head of the Computer Science Department at KAIST, said, "We will work closely with Naver in cutting-edge AI education."
