Professor Daehyung Park of our School was selected as the recipient of the 2022 Google Research Scholar Award.

Google Research Scholar Program is an international program to support new professors who are conducting world-class research. This year, the program will support research on "Physics-Informed Interactive Skill Learning Toward In-hand Manipulation of Deformable Objects" by Professor Park's research team.

This study proposes a method for learning the physical knowledge-based interaction skill of a robot hand for manipulating atypical objects. It will show manipulation techniques applicable in real life through the use of 1) physical knowledge-based reinforcement learning, 2) interaction-based reinforcement learning, and 3) Sim2Real transfer learning.
